First thing I said to Joe this morning when I got to the boat was it's going to be a tough one today. Flat calm, no snot and 500 boats running around like chickens with their heads cut off.
Christ, I hate when I'm right!!! Picked a few fish here and there most of the day. The bottom we have been fishing all week was completely covered and just getting beat up. The fish that were there got out of dodge with all the boats running around like mad-men.
Covered a bunch of area's waiting for a bite to happen. Finally at the end of the day we found some fish that were hungry, went into overtime and got it done.
I have to say for one of the first times in many years, nobody quit on me, the customers all hung in there all day working hard. Not a banner day but worth the effort in my book.
Back at it in the AM....7:00-2:00/2:30. Open Boat. Fare is $90, Rod Rentals $20. Not sailing Thanksgiving day.
