The change of tide bite wasn't good to us today!

Only caught a few fish then searched several area's without any bites. Water still very muddy and I'm sure that Big moon up there didn't help!

Back at it in the AM. Open Boat, No Reservations just come on down. Fare is $90 Striped Bass fishing.

Caught the chanmge of tide first thing in AM.....Had fish on top with some very good readings on the bottom.  Very nice bite while it lasted on Bass up to 43 inches! All on Shads and Flutter spoons.

Once the current got ripping the bite died. Went into search mode but the bite never turned back on. All in all still a succesful first day!! Back at it tomorrow, 7:30am sailing, Open Boat, No Reservations just come on down, Fare is $90.

Welcome to the 2023 season...

We will begin fishing for Striped Bass, Friday May 5th 2023. Open Boat, No Reservations just come on down.

Sailing Everday 7:30am till 2:30pm. Fare is $90 per person

Rentals are $10 if needed. Shads, Jigs & top water plugs should be in your Tackle box. We do sell Shads & Jigs aboard.

Spinning set ups are the way to go for this Spring fishery. Looking foward to fishing with everyone again!

While thinking of my Sister yesterday who past 3 years ago to the day, I get the call that one of my best friends, Captain Bobby Sidorski had passed.

Bob owned and operated the Satellite after taking over the business from his Dad "Whitey", originally from Highlands before moving to Atlantic Highlands in the early 80's. He ran my Sandy Hook Lady & the Fishermen from the early 90's into 2005. To say we had some of the best times of our lives together is an understatement! 

He was the bigger brother and always ended our phone calls with "Love ya like a Brother" right till the end. Bob lost his wife Donna to cancer several years ago and had to raise his two beautiful children Bobby Jr. & Samantha "Sam" all by himself....I think he did an awesome job as they both turned out to be awesome....he even was blessed to have a Grandchild if only for a short time, Bobby Jr. the 3rd.

My heart is broken once again, the only joy I feel this time of year anymore is the fact that all these folks who passed before me were such a good mark on my soul. I shed the tears because I have been blessed to have had them in my life.

Until we sail again Captain.......Love ya like a Brother.
