This fishing is not for the faint of heart to say the least!
Dealing with the conditions everyday and having to grind it out constantly. Slugged away working the pieces in the AM, some nice keepers, lots of short life and the Sea Bass certainly helped with something for dinner.
Bob landed a double header Sea Bass & Fluke, when the fish was coming up, the head shake was telling me at least a 9 pound fluke......4 pound Sea Bass, 4 1/2 pound fluke that took the pool! Couple customers had 2 nice fish but again, it's not easy.
When we lost the drift went into search mode, first two spots were dead. Found some life in the last area but they were all shorts.
Back at it in the AM, I don't trust the Weather Asses, we are sailing!
Bring your A game.....Capt. Ron
Strong current, fast drift, rolly ocean all day today.....
Thank God I had customers who could deal with it, put on the weight and catch!
Tommy HC & Bill V lead the way with 4 each plus a mess of shorts, Bill is the Monthly pool leader and once again took todays pool with a 4 pound 6 ounce fluke. Lou L, John, Dave B and a couple other customers had their 3 also by days end. Certainly not easy though fishing in those conditions but we got it done.
NOT AVAILABLE TOMORROW (FRIDAY).
Back at it on Saturday. Open Boat, No Reservations just come on down. Fare is $90, Rod Rental $10. 7:30am till 2:30pm.

Started in the same area we left off yesterday, figured we still had 2 hours of current so we should have a decent drift & a bite.....
Well, you know how that goes. Stopped on the first drop and had no drift, no current seemed to be the same inshore and off a little deeper. Tried power drifting, caught some fish just not enough.
Ran offshore, found some good action right off the bat with shorts and some keepers, got one drift out of it then a current from hell took over for the rest of the day. One customer told me coming on the boat this morning that he read the last 3 reports and took the day off looking for the Big Girls who today, probably had that time of the month!! High hook did have 6 fish, couple customers had 2, plenty with none and some shorts.
Back at it in the AM, new day, new conditions. 7:30am till 2:30pm, Open Boat, No Reservations just come on down. Fare is $90, Rod Rental $10.
WE ARE NOT AVAILABLE FRIDAY......Capt. Ron
The Big Girls came out to play today!
Daily Pool changed hands 4 times during the trip with several fish going from 3 to 7.7 pounds. Bill Venizia is the new Monthly leader with a beauty at 7pounds 7 ounces along with his 3 keepers. Second place came in at 6 pounds 13 ounces.
Big Tom T lead the way with 5 nice keepers and several customers had their 3 by days end. Had to keep searching for the ones that wanted to bite but that's what we do! See you in the AM. 7:30-3:00pm, Open Boat, No Reservations just come on down. Fare is $90, Rod Rental $10.
WE ARE NOT AVAILABLE THIS FRIDAY......Capt. Ron
Very light gang for such a beautiful Monday, didn't matter as the Fluke were hungry once again!
Couple guys had their 3 keepers on the first drift. All very healthy & Fat quality fish.
Lou Lauria & Son lead the way with a double limit. Alex did his thing once again taking another pool with a nice 4 pound 8 ounce fish.
Jake had a bus-mans holiday from another boat he works on and also put on a clinic, jigging in the bow!
Weather looks good all week, don't miss the bite.
