Had to search several drops today picking a fish here and there until we found some life I could work.
Plenty of short action with the Keepers mixed in. Steve lead the way with 5 would be keepers followed by Big Tom with his 3. Steve also took the pool with a 3.5 pound fish. Couple guys with 2 by days end.
South wind came up mid-morning and made the drift a little to fast at 1.5 knots, by then it was almost time to go. Bottom water temp is very cold as every fish that came up felt like Ice!
Also had some nice Sea Bass & a Couple ling in the mix. Weather looks good for tomorrow!
Back at it in the AM.

Been a tough bite since Thursday....
I thought for sure with the quality of the fish we had on that day and the nice action that it was the start of something big.
Yup, I was wrong. Why the bite shut down who knows. We pick and pluck shorts a handful of keepers working all the area's that should be holding fish, they just haven't turned on the past few days.
Perseverance will pay off as we will keep at it until we find an area we can work hard....I'm thinking this week!
On another note for anyone looking to come and rent My tackle.
For $5 I give you a nice Rod & Reel, it has a rig all ready to go. You are told when you rent the Rod that "WE DO NOT SUPPLY TACKLE!" When you do not listen to the Crew or myself, when we physically show you how Not to get stuck on the bottom and you keep loosing Rigs, it's on you. I do not supply tackle all day for $5.
Please go to Walmart, buy an inexpensive set up, some sinkers and a handful of rigs. I will not fish the sand and catch nothing, I am a Fisherman, I fish where I have to so you can catch fish, respect that and don't tell me you will not come back here again when I bust my ass for you! Listen & learn or please move on.

Fished the deeper water today and started out with a fish here and there...
Kept searching waiting for the change of tide, once we found a nice line of fish I could work the bite turned on!
Several fish in the 3-4 pound range, pool fish went 6.5 pounds. Bunch of guys had their three, some with more including 92 year old Henry who once again put on a clinic landing 5 would be keepers and a bunch of shorts.
Conditions were horrible as the current & little breeze had the boat plowing ahead all day. Finally straightend out for the last hour of the trip. Bring the weight guys, 4-6 ounces won't make it in the deeper water and will bring nothing but tangles all day.
Back at it in the AM! Open boat, No Reservations just come on down. Fare is $90.
