I didn't like the conditions in the AM with the hard outgoing & SW wind, didn't want to beat up the customers so we headed to a much easier area to fish.
Good action most of the morning bouncing around fishing mostly snags & rough bottom. Several nice keepers including a 4 pound pool fish. Many had 2 fish and couldn't find the third but landed many shorts for the action. The pool winner had his three and then some.
Once the tide changed the wind went South, drift went to 2.0 knots late in the day. Still picked at the fish but it wasn't easy. Still a nice day out there.
Back at it tomorrow with the Tuesday Regulars! Open Boat, No Reservations just come on down.
Fare is $90.....OCEAN FISHING
Sadly, we have lost another pillar of the Fishing Community, Captain Marty Haines of the Sea Pigeon suddenly past yesterday, doing what he love most, running a boat. Marty was an awesome man, Captain & friend to the fishing community. When I started running the Fishermen Marty was always there with a helping hand....I will miss his soft voice and confidence, he made me a better Captain. Until we fish again Captain Marty, I pray my Dad is the One who welcomes you Home.......

Had to Hustle out today knowing it was a short window of opportunity with the last of the tide and the hard SW predicted on the change.
Slugged away on some very nice keepers, shorts and a few Sea bass. Big Dave had the hot hand in the AM landing 4 Nice fish. Robert found his pool fish for the day and now leads the Monthly pool at 5 pounds 13 ounces.
Several guys had their 3 once again including "Hitman" Gregg, Anthony, Big Dave along with a couple other customers. Cliff who fished yesterday and had 15 shorts landed two nice fish today....He is still getting acclimated to our style!
Left the area and took a ride before the Wind came on and headed to the next drop. Started catching right away like the past few days but the drift got way too fast at 1.6 knots. The guys with the heavy sinkers still caught and the short action was what it is, action.
Still, a good day of fishing. Hard to believe that 40 plus keepers is now a Good or Great day of fishing! Times have changed.
Back at it tomorrow. Open Boat, No Reservations just come on down! Fare is $90. OCEAN FISHING

Very good fishing today with several guys landing their three and then some!
Brian lead the way with 9 Keepers, Mike P Sr. & Jr. both got their 3 along with Dave, Dennis, Mr. Twisted "T" and Stan, who also took the pool with a 4 1/2 pound fish. Several other customers also got it done working hard all day.
Been working snags and pieces of bottom for the last Month finding fish and just picking due to some lousy conditions, when the conditions are right like the past couple of days the fish bite, simple as that.
Weather looks great for tomorrow, come on down. Open boat, No Reservations. Fare is $90. OCEAN FISHING for FLUKE.
Capt. Ron
We NEVER quit and today was no different!
Started out with a few nice drifts and action on some quality keepers....When that bite died we went into search mode once again, the next area had No drift at all so we got the hell out of there.
Found some life in an area I haven't fished in 2 years, worked it till that died and went into overtime trying one more spot. The bite turned on for the last hour, Shorts, Keepers, Rods bending with very good action.
Several customers ended up with 3 plus, some with 2 nice Fluke. Pool fish went 5 pounds.
Young fishermen Rocko made his first trip today, after getting the feel for the bite the kid never left the rail and made the stick! Another young lady showed my reg's how to do it by making the stick also.
The Bow crew made me look good and took an awesome picture with their catch. Franny & Crew had 6 nice fish between them.

Please don't tell me I'm crowded with 30 customers on the boat, today like every other day is the reason why. ICE & NO NOODLE RODS!!!
Capt.Ron
Amazing what a drift can do for the bite!
After 3 days of Hell and running all over the Ocean trying to find a drift and just slugging away, Today we had a Drift and A Bite!
Some nice quality Fluke including a 6 pound pool fish. Bunch of guys had their 3 by days end including Super Dave, Big Dave, Tom and Mike. Several guys with 2 nice fish and a few Sea Bass in the Mix.
Nice Breeze on the Ocean, I'm sure it was Hot as hell on land but the damage was done customer wise as they called for Don't go out weather once again!
Guys, I really hate to keep harping on this, and This will be the last time, you are on your own after this....
You must have a Heavier Rod with you, don't bring 5 rods all the same dam weight class!! 2 Rods, one light or medium and One Heavier for the weight (8-10) ounces. I can put you on the fish, it's up to you to listen and catch! 45 years and I'm still talking to myself.....Ice will also keep your fish fresh in a small cooler and not poach in a Bucket. That's it, hope it hit's a nerve!
