Looks like the weather is going to take it's toll on us once again!!
Overnight the wind is going into the NE and hard for the next several days, looks Easterly on Thursday into Friday with gusts as high as 35.
I don't mind fishing in the snot but this is just not in the cards the rest of this week. Hopefully some good comes out of it and pushes those keepers and bonus fish into our area. We shall see on Sunday!
Until then I'm going to sit back, light a cigar, pour a cocktail and forget about Striped Bass for a while.....

Boat traffic was insane today!!
We did find way more bunkers to work with so we ended up catching alot more fish. Wasn't easy though picking through the pods.
Finally was able to get off by ourselves at the end of the day and had a couple nice shots at them. Couple high hooks had 3 fish some with 2 and 1, lot's of folks with none.
Bunker fishing has been the ticket, if you don't have a snag in your bag you can stop on the way to the boat, we have the rigs for the live bait but the snag is important if you want to fish that way.
I spoke to Phil at the Tackle box he said he has plenty in stock!! Sailing everyday....

Found the life once again, only today they didn't want to bite!
Hit a whole bunch of area's trying to find the fish that were hungry, saw a bunch of Albies that were hard to catch also. Finally found some bunker and had a couple shots of fish on the shads and live bait but it was short lived.
Seems all the reports up & down the coast are the same for today and it figures with the weekend here.
Sailing 7:00am-2:00/2:30pm. Open Boat, No Reservations. Fare is $90, Rod Rental $20, under 12 $50.

Headed out and found the bite first thing this morning!
Bird live and plenty of bait in a couple area's, much of it was Albacore and you couldn't keep up with them.
We did manage a few of the first keepers so far at 31 inches. The last hour of the day we found the Bunker and finished out with a blast catching them on Shads & live bait!!
Steve Tachman lead the way with 8 beauties, first time he ever fished like that. Like I said yesterday, don't wait for the report, be the report. Yesterday a bum today a hero, welcome to my world!!!
Back at it in the AM.
7:00am-2:00/2:30pm. First Boat out, First Boat on the meat!!. Fare is $90, Rod Rental $20.

Headed back to where we had the fish yesterday, didn't even stop as the bait & fish weren't there!!
Found plenty of bait a couple miles away but the bass didn't bite. Covered many miles searching, fishing the bait that we found but no good. Took a late ride back down the beach, fished the bunkers and ended up with a few fish and a couple lost.
Huge let down after the past two days but that's the way it goes in my world. Back at it tomorrow, it's just the begining of the fall run.
Don't wait for the next good report, be the report! Sailing everyday.
7:00am-2:00-2:30pm. No Reservations, Open Boat. Fare is $90, Rod Rental $20.
See you in the AM,
