Ran off to where we fished yesterday, it was nice until a mile before we had to stop.
Wind came out of nowhere and it got ugly quick! Had a half dozen nice fish then all life was gone. Got the Hell out of there and retreated back to the North for calmer waters and a very nice all day bite.
Keepers are here, action was good and everyone went home with the meat. Shads worked the best today as these fish were gorged with small bunker. West winds for tomorrow, good conditions with the out going tide most of the day.
Come fish and catch on my 67th tomorrow, nothing would make my Birthday wish any better than that.
7:00AM-2:00/2:30pm. Open boat, No Reservations. First boat out, First boat on the meat.

After being tied up for the week, today it was back in the game!
Nice body of fish in several area's and they were hungry. Jigs with tails, plain jigs worked the best and we did have a few on the shads. Had a nice bunch of keepers in the mix finally.
Water was amazingly clear & clean which was a shock after all the rain and nasty ocean. Weather looks good all week, it's November it's Striper Time!!! Sailing everyday...
7:00am-2:30. First Boat out, First Boat on the Meat. Fare is $90, Rod Rental $20.
No Reservations, Open Boat just come on down.

We will be back at it Saturday morning fishing for Striped Bass.
7:00am-2:00/2:30pm. Open Boat, No Reservations. Fare is $90, Rod Rental $20.
The weather for us the past Month and a half has been horrible. Every time we get back in the groove another blow comes along and sets us back.
Normally by the first week of November we are in the swing catching the keepers & bonus fish. Let's hope that continues from this weekend on. Jigs with tails, Plain 47's, Shads should work well and always keep a snag in your box if we run into bunker for live bait.
Looking forward to a good Month and a Half of Striper fishing.

Looks like the weather is going to take it's toll on us once again!!
Overnight the wind is going into the NE and hard for the next several days, looks Easterly on Thursday into Friday with gusts as high as 35.
I don't mind fishing in the snot but this is just not in the cards the rest of this week. Hopefully some good comes out of it and pushes those keepers and bonus fish into our area. We shall see on Sunday!
Until then I'm going to sit back, light a cigar, pour a cocktail and forget about Striped Bass for a while.....

Boat traffic was insane today!!
We did find way more bunkers to work with so we ended up catching alot more fish. Wasn't easy though picking through the pods.
Finally was able to get off by ourselves at the end of the day and had a couple nice shots at them. Couple high hooks had 3 fish some with 2 and 1, lot's of folks with none.
Bunker fishing has been the ticket, if you don't have a snag in your bag you can stop on the way to the boat, we have the rigs for the live bait but the snag is important if you want to fish that way.
I spoke to Phil at the Tackle box he said he has plenty in stock!! Sailing everyday....
7:00am-2:00-2:30pm. First Boat out, No Reservations, Open Boat. Fare is $90, Rod Rental $20.
