A very nice bounce back on the fishing today. Had action all day long with a nice mix of fish.
Several customers had their three, a couple guys had double limits and some with just a couple fish. Some nice Sea Bass in the mix along with a bunch of Mac's! Beautiful weather, nice calm ocean doesn't get any better than that!
John Weins took todays pool with a nice 4.8 pound Fluke along with his 3.
Weather looks great all week and we are NOT AVAILABLE THIS SATURDAY. I had to reschedule last Saturdays trip due to the weather. Other than that...

Made it out to where we needed to be...once again the swell took it's toll.
Caught a couple handful of keepers with Super Dave landing his three and Bill V. Taking the pool with a nice 4 pound fish but once again it wasn't easy.
The weather coming might just be a blessing as myself and the crew could use a couple days of down time to rejuvenate. Everyday a swell or crappy conditions starts to take it toll on the body.
Weather report changes every couple of hours. I know we are going to loose the next couple of days. I have Charters on the weekend, if the crap weather continues, we will cancel and hopefully Reschedule those trips, not going to kick anyone's butt just to make a buck!
On a Happy note, Thank you for all the awesome comments on my post about Richie and the lost Rod!
You guys & gals make me smile. Henry called me last night, the Man was so happy! I've known him over 23 years and that was the most I have ever heard him talk!! Back at it when this crap is over, I'll keep you posted.

I knew there was No way we would catch in the area we found them 2 days ago.
Conditions would be crap so I opted to take a ride. Naturally conditions were horrible there also, No breeze & No current, had to power drift all day working a bunch of pieces.
We had short action, a bunch of decent sized keepers but it was not easy at all. Lost a lot of rigs. Catskill John landed 3 beauties including a new Monthly pool leader at 4 pounds 15 ounces. Raymond and several others had two nice fish and so on.
Just a quick story to show the kind of customers I carry and why I love them and what I do....
Last Monday, Henry a customer for 22 years lost his very expensive set up over the side. The Man was so upset as it was his favorite bass rod in the fall.....on Thursday, Mustachio Richie another long time customer caught the Rod, attached to it were two nice Lobsters.
After making sure the Rod was the correct one, I asked Richie this morning if he would be willing to return the Rod to another Fishermen Brother. There was No question, no but what, the Man handed me the rod like a gentleman and smiled. Made my heart feel good, gave Richie a couple trips on me to say Thank you for doing the right thing without even thinking about it. That my friends is a true Sportsman and an awesome American!
Love ya Rich, good Karma coming your way.....

Morning bite started right away today....
Had to work a piece of bottom landing some quality Fluke. Several fish in the 3-4 pound range with Arnaldo landing the pool fish at 4 pounds 5 onces.
Got about an hour out of it then like someone turned off the lights, the bite died. Searched several area's only to find a few shorts and an odd keeper. Pretty good swell out there all day I'm sure didn't help.
Sailing 7:30am-2:30pm everyday. Open Boat, No Reservations just come on down. Fare is $90, Rod Rentals $10.
See you in the AM,
Capt. Ron
