Finally after seven days at the dock we made it back out!!
Had to change up the schedule to bottom fishing and glad we did, nice group of customers for the first trip and the fish were hungry. Had a nice all day bite of Porgies, Sea bass, Triggers and Blow fish.
Jeff from Old Bridge landed two beauty Trigger fish and took the pool with one 4 pounds. Dennis also had a nice one in the bucket. Shawn and everyone else had a nice bucket of fish to take home by days end.
A little cranky out there but it was to be expected with the weather we have had the past week.
Shaping up everyday 7:30am-2:30pm. Open boat, No Reservations just come on down. Fare is $90. Rod Rentals $10.

Bottom Fishing starts tomorrow MONDAY the 23rd.....
Sailing everyday 7:30am-2:30pm. Open Boat, No Reservations just come on down. Fare is $90, Rod Rentals $10.
Progies have been showing up the past couple of weeks along with some Trigger fish. Sea Bass opens up October 1st so will be able to add them to the mix as well. Fun fishing and great eating, come on down & give it a shot.
Couple weeks yet until we start Striped Bass fishing.....watch for those North Westerlies as they start to come through around the end of October for the fall run!!!

Looks like we will be tied up the next several days....
East to NE wind, Nasty ocean and a lack of a solid bite the past couple of days doesn't help.
If it doesn't straighten out by Sunday we will be Bottom Fishing starting Monday the 23rd. New sailing time of 7:00am-2:30pm.
We should get a couple good weeks of Bottom fishing before the fall Striped bass season starts around the 3rd week of October.

Found just a pick today, never any hot action but the fish we did catch were all nice sized keepers.
Most everything was caught in the morning before we went into search mode. Found a couple just about every where we went just not enough. Not much short life either.
Long time fishermen on many of the boats over the years, Henry, made it back out today with his grandson Kyle. Henry landed two very nice Fluke and Kyle took the pool with a 5 1/2 pound fish. Weather looks good through the weekend, not many trips left for Fluke.
