Found some more Quality Fluke today including Sams 5 pound pool fish.
Lost a couple good head shakers on the way up and 2 just before the net!
Fishing deeper water with current guys, I'll say it again, the Noodle rods aren't going to make it. A Noodle rod is so light that it bends like a Noodle with 6 ounces of lead. (See pic attached)
PLEASE bring a medium action rod that can handle 8-10 ounces of lead. I'd rather see you rent one of our Rods than be in tangles and not be able to set a hook on a good fish all day.
Bait has been working better than the jigs the past couple trips.

FISHERMEN/JULY 4th FLUKE REPORT

Much better today with the keepers!
Checked out a new area and found life. Several guys had their 3 by days end including Bob, Johny P., JTP and Bill.
Bob took the daily pool with his 5.4lb Fluke but wasn't in the Monthly.

After yesterdays glimmer of hope with some nice Fluke and action.....Today was a Bust!!
Hit all the drops where we caught yesterday and then some to only come up with a handful of keepers and some shorts.....Beyond disapointing to say the least. New game plan for tomorrow, giving it hell as usual!

Finally found some Quality Fluke today after much searching!
Yesterday you couldn't hold bottom with 10 ounces, today was the total opposite....No current & not much drift. Hard to work the throttles over the bottom for movement. Several guys with 2 nice fish each and shorts. Some Jumbo Sea bass & ling in the mix as well.
Another 5pound 3 ounce Fish, the third one in the past week took the daily pool.

FISHERMEN/Mondays Fluke fishing

Windy as hell out there today!!!
Had to get the lead out as the drift was fast.....impossible to fish the deeper water as we tried and got out of there after a few minutes. We did slug away all day on smaller fish with only a handful of keepers by days end.
Water temp slowing moving up, today we had between 61 & 65 degrees but all the fish were still Ice cold!!
Less wind tomorrow will make for better conditions and we will be able to try some new area's.
